About Me
I specialise in evidence-based medical writing and editing for both healthcare professional and patient audiences — creating content that is clinically accurate, genuinely accessible, and meaningful to the people it is made for. My work spans HCP education (eLearning, books, podcasts, conference materials, slide decks), patient education resources, plain language summaries of clinical publications, patient focus groups and insights research, and training for healthcare and patient advocacy audiences. Clinicians I work with value my ability to translate detailed clinical material into clear, respectful language without losing scientific integrity; patient organisations value the care and empathy I bring to co-development processes and qualitative research.
I bring two decades of expertise at the intersection of language, healthcare, and technology — grounded in a PhD in Applied Linguistics. More recently, I have developed particular expertise in the responsible use of generative AI in patient communication, delivering training for patient advocacy groups on ethical, accurate, and accessible AI adoption.
Published author and sought-after speaker on scientific communication, health literacy, and AI in healthcare. Colleagues and clients describe me as enthusiastic, empathetic, and straightforward to work with — efficient without cutting corners and consistently focused on producing something genuinely valuable.
